Casa 52 is a recently renovated Colonial era home in the heart of Merida’s Historic Centro. Designed and completed 2022 in collaboration with local Architect :: Oriundo Taller. Centrally located and in close proximity to Paseo Montejo, Calle 47 (aka Corredor Gastronomico) + the new Gran Parque la Plancha. Whether searching for traditional Yucatecan cuisine, an authentic evening concert or festivities offered in Plaza Grande; all are within short walking distance. <h3>The space</h3> With Spanish Colonial, Art Deco and Mid-Century influences the house features soaring 20+ foot beamed ceilings in the original 1st ‘crujia’ along with traditional cement 'pasta' tile floors throughout. Arched steel doors and windows perfectly frame the lush landscaping and pool. The vast terrace provides a beautiful spot to relax in the shade and unwind after a day exploring. King size primary bedroom suite is an elegant standalone structure at the rear of the property with pool views, lush private rear garden including an outdoor shower. Two Queen size bedrooms with private bathroom, walk-in closet and balcony are located on the second story of the main house. The fully equipped kitchen is a wonderful gathering space. Featuring a grand custom island for food preparation along with modern stainless appliances; gas oven+cooktop, dishwasher and refrigerator. Solar powered with mini split A/C units and ceiling fans in every room ensures a comfortable stay. WIFI provides high-speed internet, perfect for guests who work remotely. The Samsung Smart TV features Fire Stick with worldwide streaming channels and apps such as Netflix, Amazon + Apple TV.
