We want you to relax and enjoy your stay. Here, you'll find details on how to use appliances and other equipment available at our home.

The patio is for your enjoyment; however since it is a shared space with the casita, and I have a close by neighbor, quiet hours start at 10 pm for the patio/outdoors.

The dishwasher's soap holder latch is broken; simply throw a pod into the bottom of the washer before starting. I recommend rinsing dishes of food before loading. If you do, the "economy" setting will work well and take much less time to finish!

The water heater is located in the building behind the house - the casita - that's why the water takes a while to become hot when you run the faucet.

Trash:

There is no garbage disposal; Please throw scraps in the trash instead. There is a recycle bin next to the washer/dryer. The city does NOT recycle GLASS. The city trash & recycle cans are located on the outside wall of the carport. Tuesday is our trash day; if you happen to be at the house please take the can out to the curb in the morning & bring it in off the curb after collection.

If you're returning to the house from being at the beach, please rinse yourselves off in the garden hose - it's located on the back patio under the pergola in the corner - BE SURE YOU TURN OFF AT THE FAUCET when you're done - otherwise it will leak precious expensive water!

A NOTE ABOUT BEACH TAR: if you've picked up unwanted tar from the beach, please use baby oil provided on the back patio, before you ever enter, in order to keep it out of the house!

Corpus Christi is home to many roaches I'm afraid. I keep the house professionally sprayed inside & out - the only ones you should ever see inside the house will be dead! If you ever see one in the house that is alive & kicking, please let me know! That said, never leave food out in the kitchen or elsewhere; put up any pet food at night…or you will attract them!

PLEASE TREAT MY HOUSE as you would as a guest at any of your friends' or family's houses...rinse dirty dishes, etc. If you smoke outside, don't leave cigarette butts in the ashtrays; dispose of them in the main trash can outside the carport. As for laundry, you don't have to strip the beds or start any laundry; I prefer that you do not. Leave used towels in a pile in the bathroom. Thank you!
