Heirloom Cottage | Arden Hills, MN
Welcome to our updated 1920’s cottage, hidden in the woods just north of the Twin Cities. On a secluded 1.2 acres, you’ll enjoy a private getaway that sleeps up to 8 and only 15 mins from downtown Minneapolis or St. Paul and 30 mins from the airport.
The space
The entire cottage is available to guests with unique spaces that capture the charm of the 1920’s home, but with modern amenities.
The main level includes a cozy fireside sitting area, a writing desk and chair, and a spacious living room with a West Elm sleeper sofa and Frame TV. A fully functioning kitchen opens up to a sunroom, where window-side benches wrap around a cozy eating nook, overlooking the wooded property. Lastly, you can enjoy relaxing on the hanging swing in the sunroom with coffee in hand as the early sunrise peeks over the treetop horizon.
Upstairs, you’ll find a full bathroom with tub and shower, 3 bedrooms, with 1 king and 2 queens available. Enjoy treetop views out of each upstairs cottage window.
Outside, guests can enjoy a charming deck, fire table and hot tub covered under the lights.
This charming cottage is perfect for a romantic getaway, or time away to unwind with family or friends.
Guest access
You'll have access to the entire cottage during your stay. The garage is not accessible at this time but is on the property. The entrance to the driveway is shared with the home next door. Follow the long driveway on the left through the trees. There is plenty of room to park near the house.
A keypad is located on the main black door with the brick steps for a simple keyless entry. All other doors will be locked and should not be used during your stay. The entry code will be provided to you the day before your arrival. The code is changed after every guest.
Other things to note
In an effort to maintain a secure premises, the cottage is equipped with two exterior cameras.
The home was built in the 1920's, which means that the doors are not wide enough for most wheelchairs. You can expect the quirks that come with an older home, including creaky, uneven floorboards in places. There are a few brick steps to get into the house with no handrail, but the stairs up to the second level have a handrail to guide your way. There is a sleeper couch and bathroom on the main floor to help accommodate guests of all ages and abilities.
